How can we help?
About Paxtra
What is Paxtra?
Paxtra is a clear way to pay when a deal starts in a DM or other conversation. A seller turns what you agreed into a payment request that both sides can review before money moves.
What is Pay with Paxtra?
It's the name for a payment request sent through Paxtra. If you receive one, you can review the details and what you agreed before you pay.
Is Pay with Paxtra a seller endorsement?
No. Seeing Pay with Paxtra doesn't mean Paxtra verifies, endorses or guarantees the seller. Always check the details match what you agreed.
How can I identify an official Paxtra payment?
Check that the page is on an official Paxtra domain before entering payment details. A logo alone doesn't prove a request is genuine. If you're unsure, contact us.
Availability
Where is Paxtra available?
Paxtra is coming first to Canada. We plan to add more supported markets over time.
Can I use Paxtra outside Canada?
Where available. We'll open more supported markets over time. Join early access to hear when yours opens.
Which currencies are supported?
At launch, payments are in Canadian dollars. We plan to support other currencies in supported markets.
Can buyers and sellers be in different countries?
It depends on the supported markets and payment methods.
Buyers
Does the buyer need an account?
Where supported, no. You can review and pay without creating an account.
Is there a Paxtra fee for buyers?
No. Paxtra charges buyers no platform fee. You pay the agreed transaction amount.
When should a buyer confirm completion?
Only when you've received and accepted what you agreed to. Confirming starts the release of funds.
What if my item doesn't arrive or the service isn't completed?
Contact the seller first and keep your messages. If it isn't resolved, you can use a formal dispute as the last resort.
What if I'm unhappy with a service?
Talk to the seller and explain what doesn't match what you agreed. Gather evidence, then use a formal dispute if you can't resolve it.
Sellers, fees and payouts
How much do sellers pay?
For the pilot, the seller fee is 5.5% of the transaction amount, with a C$3.00 minimum, deducted from proceeds. Buyers pay no Paxtra platform fee. Pilot transactions are C$10 to C$500.
Who processes payments?
Payments are processed through Stripe.
When does the seller get paid?
After the buyer confirms and the release process runs, the seller is paid out through the available option.
What is standard payout?
Funds arrive in the seller's bank account, which may take several business days depending on banks and payment providers.
What is Instant Payout?
A faster payout that is planned and not available yet. The published rate is 1.5% of the eligible payout, minimum C$1.00, in addition to the transaction fee.
Are there currency-conversion charges?
They may apply for cross-border payments.
Why do sellers need verification?
To receive payouts, sellers may need to verify their identity or business.
What happens if verification is incomplete?
Payouts may be delayed until verification is complete. The exact rule will be published once it is confirmed.
Cancellations, refunds and disputes
Can I cancel?
Before the seller starts fulfilling the deal, cancelling may be possible depending on the circumstances. After that, it isn't automatic.
Can I get a refund?
It depends on the circumstances. Paxtra's policies don't affect your legal consumer rights.
How do disputes work?
Talk first, try to resolve it, gather evidence, and use a formal dispute as the last resort.
What evidence should I keep?
Your agreement and messages, photos or video, receipts, tracking and delivery records, deliverables and timestamps.
